As the cherry blossoms fall, beautiful memories and Fuji fireworks come back to me.
The overwhelming emotion
to you
Admire Mount Fuji while enjoying Japan's best fireworks, created by the BIG 4 pyrotechnicians.
In 2026, we'll be holding the "The ZEKKEI Fireworks "Mt.Fuji" 2026 - Japan's Ultimate, Unrivaled, Everlasting" event.
We'll be adding one fireworks maker with the same skills as the BIG 4, Japan's leading fireworks makers, to create the BIG 5, bringing you even more exquisite displays.
Location: Fujiten Snow Resort (map)
The ZEKKEI Fireworks Executive Committee held Japan's first-ever fireworks festival within the grounds of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mt. Fuji, in October 2020. Unfortunately, the 2021 event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we successfully hosted the festival on April 23, 2022, April 22, 2023, and April 20, 2024. The event, held at Fujiten Resort (within the grounds of the first station of Mt. Fuji), featured with a breathtaking combination of Mt. Fuji, cherry blossom which is Japan's national flower, and the world's best fireworks. This dreamy trio has left a lasting impression across Japan. The pristine air and energy emanating from the sacred mountain creates a unique setting. In this special location, Japan's top four pyrotechnicians showcased their skills, crafting a one-night-only fireworks display that truly symbolized Japan.
And then, on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, aiming for further evolution, we will add one fireworks maker with the same skills as the Big 4, Japan's leading fireworks makers, and as the Big 5, we will use all of our skills to create a fireworks display that will be like a dream come true, something that cannot be experienced at any other event, and that will represent not only Japan but the world!
The "BIG 5," consisting of the world's top Japanese fireworks makers, the BIG 4, plus one other fireworks maker with equal skill, will launch fireworks that represent the pinnacle of each company's tradition and technology against the backdrop of the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms, providing a truly "world-class, breathtaking view."
you with the ultimate fireworks show and of unforgettable scenery.
Founded in 1916, we manufacture and launch fireworks in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture.
The first Gisaku Aoki, who perfected the ultimate harmonious beauty of "multi-core fireworks", was awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon in 1959 for "the achievement of perfecting the core fireworks technology".
This led to the founding of the Japan Fireworks Artists Association.
The second generation Tamon Aoki developed the "Shiyuushingiku" and "Nishikikamurogiku" and created the "Yashi".
He also created new techniques of colorful, multi-petaled flowers such as "Miraibana" and "Poinsettia."
These works have become very popular today. His many creative fireworks, as well as his specialty, the "warimono" fireworks, have won numerous awards at fireworks competitions around the country.
While inheriting the high level of technique for making traditional fireworks, third-generation owner Akio Aoki is also focusing on "Music Fireworks," a new-age fireworks performance that precisely synchronizes sound and light to create a synergistic effect. Highly acclaimed both at home and abroad, "Music Fireworks" pursues even higher perfection as a dynamically unfolding "fireworks art."

Past Achievements and Awards
We are a fireworks company with a 139-year history in Okazaki, the home of Mikawa fireworks, which has been around since the Edo period. While inheriting and protecting traditional techniques, we have always placed importance on making people happy, and have been working on new fireworks and improving technology for new fireworks performances. We are proud that our Creative Fireworks, Melody Fireworks®, and Dramatic Fireworks, which have fascinated and received high praise from many people, are the culmination of our efforts.
Our efforts have earned us the Prime Minister's Award twice at the Omagari National Fireworks Competition, and we have been selected as one of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's "300 Vibrant Small and Medium-sized Manufacturing Companies." We will continue to pave new paths as pioneers so that many people can experience new excitement and joy through fireworks...and we will spare no effort to create fireworks for that purpose.

Past Achievements and Awards
We were founded in 1901 in Ichikawa Daimon, Ichikawa Misato-cho, Nishiyatsushiro-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture. Ichikawa Daimon was famous as one of the three major fireworks production areas in Japan during the Edo period. As the originator of Koshu fireworks, we have inherited the techniques from generation to generation and continue to make fireworks that are handmade one by one. Based on the techniques inherited from generation to generation, we have repeatedly tried and tested to realize fireworks with new color schemes, and in 2012 we completed our masterpiece, "Seireika." The light blue of Seireika represents purity, the pink represents love, the lemon color represents happiness, and the fine white flashing star in the center represents a scene of three angels blessing a couple in love. We will continue to make fireworks with happy colors that bring happiness to people through fireworks.

Past Achievements and Awards
In 1872 (Meiji 5), the first generation, Chuei Obata, began manufacturing fireworks in Hongo-cho, Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture.
The traditional techniques have been passed down from generation to generation, from the second generation Hitoshi, to the third generation Takashi, the fourth generation Kiyohide, and the fifth generation Toshiaki.
In particular, Kiyohide perfected the highly challenging chrysanthemum-shaped firework "Yoeshingiku," which won him the first Prime Minister's Award in the fireworks industry in 2000, sparking the multi-core boom.
Toshiaki has also created a trilogy of fireworks, "Monochromenokinka," "Tenjikubotan," and "Rinne no sanka," in pursuit of unique beauty, which has garnered attention.
In 2018, the detailed "Satoyamanowasuregaki" was recognized and won the Prime Minister's Award, making it an amazing achievement for two generations of the family to win this award.
We will continue to research perfectly circular chrysanthemum-shaped fireworks and other original and creative fireworks to create fireworks that will stay in the hearts of audiences.
